A cookie is a small file stored on your device by your browser. We use as few as possible, grouped into three categories:
These keep the site working and are on by default — they can't be turned off, because the site wouldn't function properly without them. On Refuelia, "essential" storage is mostly localStorage, not cookies in the strict sense: your theme (light/dark), your language choice, and your saved/favorite stations. None of this is sent to our servers.
If enabled, analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) help us understand aggregate usage — which pages get visited, roughly how many people use the map — so we can improve the site. This data isn't used to identify you personally. Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner.
If enabled, advertising cookies (such as Google AdSense) may be used to show ads and measure their performance. Google's own policies govern how that data is used; see Google's advertising policy for details. Advertising cookies only run if you accept them in the cookie banner.
When you first visit, a banner lets you choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences to set analytics and advertising cookies individually. Analytics and advertising cookies are never set until you consent. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using Manage Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page.
If you're visiting from the EU or UK, the consent banner is how we ask for your permission before any non-essential cookie is set, in line with applicable e-privacy and data protection law.
