What Contribution Score is
Refuelia's map is only as good as the drivers who keep it current. When you confirm that a station has fuel, update a price or leave a helpful comment, you make the next driver's trip a little easier. Contribution Score is how we recognise that: the more useful and accurate your updates are, the higher your score, and the more your reports are trusted by others.
Your score grows when you help other drivers with useful and accurate updates. It is tied to your Google-signed-in account, and you can see it any time on your profile.
How you earn score
Points are awarded automatically when you contribute while signed in. These are the current and planned values — some actions (reviews, photos and helpful votes) roll out as those features go live:
Occasional bonuses may also apply — for example your first update of the day, an active-days streak, or reaching a milestone of confirmed updates.
Contributor levels
As your score grows, you move up through five contributor levels. Higher levels are a signal of trust to other drivers; capabilities attached to them roll out as Refuelia grows.
New Driver
0–49Comment, write reviews, confirm information and save stations. Everyone starts here.
Active Driver
50–199A profile badge, more weight on your confirmations, and early access to new contributor features as they launch.
Trusted Driver
200–499A “Trusted Driver” marker, your updates carry more trust, and your comments rank higher in a station's feed.
Local Expert
500–999Recognised as an expert for your area, with greater weight on your updates and access to more detailed area insights.
Refuelia Ambassador
1000+A special badge, a place among top contributors, and the earliest access to new features. The highest trust level on Refuelia.
Keeping it fair
The whole point of a reputation system is that it stays honest, so a small number of rules protect it. Deliberately false reports, spam, harassment or repeated bad information reduce your score and can lead to your contributions being limited or removed. Mass-identical or automated updates are not counted, and there are daily limits on how much score you can earn. Confirmed abuse reports lower a contributor's standing.
None of this affects normal, good-faith use — if you're reporting what you actually saw at a station, you have nothing to worry about.
Trust, not currency
To be completely clear: Contribution Score and contributor levels are about trust and data quality. They are not money, credit or a promise of any reward. Refuelia may add real rewards, discounts or partner benefits in the future — if and when that happens, it will be announced openly and the rules will be published here first.
